Don Khon & Don Det · Our trips
The Mekong is more than the view from your guesthouse. Between its islands are rocky channels, waterfalls and places where people work with the river every day. Come a little closer, with local knowledge to guide the way.
01 / Explore in a day
Leave time to look beyond the familiar stops. Travel by kayak or longtail boat, explore the southern Mekong and discover waterfalls with guides whose knowledge comes from life on the river.
For travellers staying on Don Khon or Don Det, a day trip offers a chance to see the landscape from the water and learn more about the people who call it home.
Day trips are best enjoyed from December to April. Ask us about the route and river conditions for your dates.

02 / Two days, one night
Give the river more than an afternoon. Our overnight camping trip brings together boat and kayak travel, time outdoors and a night beside the Mekong.
Watch the landscape change towards sunset, share a meal and wake to another morning on the river. With two days to explore, there is room to slow down and spend longer among the islands.
The best camping season is December to April. Contact us to discuss the campsite, current conditions and what to bring.

03 / Life with the Mekong
For fishing families, the Mekong is a place of work, knowledge and daily decisions. The currents, water level and season all shape what happens on the river.
Our fishing life trip offers a closer look at local techniques and the relationship between the river, food and community. What you can see depends on the season and the work taking place when you visit.
Tell us your dates and interests. We will explain what fishing activities may be possible at that time of year.
